We are actively hiring a
Cloud Data Engineer
with hands-on experience in AWS Neptune and large-scale data platforms. This role will serve as a senior technical contributor, responsible for managing graph database operations, ETL pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud orchestration within a high-performance environment.
You'll collaborate closely with AI engineers, backend teams, and product leads while ensuring system reliability, scalability, and cost-efficiency. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-moving environments, brings a DevOps-first mindset, and has deep production experience with graph workloads on AWS.
Key Responsibilities Cloud & Infrastructure
Architect and manage AWS environments, including Neptune, Lambda, ECS, EC2, S3, IAM, VPC
Develop and optimize scalable ETL pipelines and data workflows using Step Functions, Batch, EventBridge
Own infrastructure-as-code with Terraform: module design, remote state, and multi-environment support
Ensure cloud environment stability, security, and cost efficiency
Data & Graph Systems
Operate production-grade AWS Neptune clusters with performance tuning, data modeling, backups, and scaling
Build resilient systems for graph querying (Gremlin, SPARQL) and API integration
Drive observability using CloudWatch, OpenSearch, and alerting frameworks
DevOps & Automation
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
Containerize applications using Docker, manage deployments via ECS or EKS
Automate infrastructure, API integrations, and internal tools in Python
Collaboration & Leadership
Proactively identify bottlenecks, risks, and scaling challenges in platform architecture
Mentor junior engineers and participate in architecture reviews
Align closely with AI/data teams and contribute to strategic platform decisions
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and data engineering
Proven hands-on experience with AWS Neptune in production environments
Strong command of AWS core services, including Lambda, ECS, Step Functions, and VPC
Expertise in Terraform, Python, Docker, and CI/CD tooling
Deep understanding of graph databases and query languages (Gremlin, RDF, SPARQL)
Experience working with DevOps, monitoring, and production systems
Strong communication skills with excellent documentation habits
Must be fluent in English and available to work in U.S. Eastern Time Zone
Must be local in U.S. (Remote within the U.S.)
