About the Role Within our Global Transaction Advisory Group’s Global Transaction Analytics (GTA) practice, this Manager position is based in New York, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Miami, Nashville, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. You will lead client engagements, provide data‑enabled business, financial, and operational transparency, and help clients achieve success across the investment lifecycle from pre‑deal to post‑deal analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Lead multiple client engagements.
Effectively manage day‑to‑day client interactions and relationships.
Proactively contribute to business development opportunities.
Manage and prioritize team responsibilities; consult with senior members on multiple deals.
Work collaboratively across stakeholders.
Coach and mentor junior team members, advancing the team’s technical acumen.
Recruit, train, and develop junior staff, including teaching training classes as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years of experience in data analytics or transaction services.
Buy‑side/vendor due diligence experience across industries preferred.
Understanding of the M&A / PE investment lifecycle preferred.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Statistics, Information Systems or a related field.
Strong knowledge of data extraction, manipulation, analytics, and visualization.
Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Excel, relational databases/SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, big data, and machine learning concepts.
Ability to leverage business intelligence software.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear, concise manner.
Exceptional project‑management skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Flexibility to work as both a team member and an independent contributor.
Ability to thrive in fast‑paced settings.
Compensation & Benefits Base salary of $160,000 annually (variable based on education, experience, skills, and geography). A discretionary bonus program complements the base. Full‑time employees (30+ hours/week) are eligible for Alvarez & Marsal Holdings’ fringe benefits, including healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, disability coverages, and a 401(k) retirement plan with company contribution.
