Job Description Who You'll Work With

As a member of the Arista Sales team, you are the face of Arista to our customers, championing their needs. You will align Arista’s technical resources to achieve customer business outcomes, partnering with skilled Customer Engineers, Professional Services, and Executive teams. This culture of teamwork supports you in achieving shared success. The role reports to a Regional Sales Manager or Area VP of Sales.

What You'll Do The Major Account Manager will act as a trusted advisor and implement sales strategies to exceed targets within a named list of 15–20 enterprise accounts in the San Francisco area. Arista appeals to forward‑thinking organizations that value quality and innovation, so technical acumen and a record of selling data center solutions are highly desirable.

Job Responsibilities

Exceed measurable sales objectives and extend the Arista brand within a named list of enterprise accounts.

Use a consultative selling approach with key client stakeholders to address business needs of hybrid cloud computing and legacy IT systems across the Arista product portfolio, including Software‑Driven Cloud Networking, EOS, Cognitive Campus Networking, WIFI Campus, Cloud Vision, Monitoring Fabric, NDR, Endpoint, and AI‑driven Network Identity Access security solutions.

Meet with key decision‑makers and C‑levels to present Arista’s value proposition.

Work with Arista systems engineers to design and position compelling solutions that reduce total cost of ownership.

Collaborate with technology partners to identify prospects and demonstrate best‑in‑class solutions.

Establish and manage key channel relationships in your territory.

Formulate strategic and tactical account plans based on periodic business reviews with prospects and customers.

Conduct demand generation activities such as happy hours, lunch‑and‑learns, and technology forums.

Collaborate with Arista peers on marketing plans and best practices.

Keep up‑to‑date with technology partner solutions, competing solutions, and competitor strategies.

Qualifications Candidate possesses a hunter mentality and a proven track record of technology sales, cultivating relationships with existing customers and penetrating new logo accounts. They act as a trusted advisor, delivering business value to end users and key stakeholders while embodying Arista values of trust, compassion, collaboration, respect, integrity, and good‑natured fun.

Minimum Job Requirements

BS/BA degree or equivalent with 8+ years of technology sales experience.

Proven track record of direct selling into target accounts within the assigned territory and exceeding sales targets.

Relevant data center or networking (LAN/WAN, SDN) industry background from a technology partner, competitor, channel partner, or end user is required.

Strong rolodex and relationships within the territory.

Excellent people skills and ability to build relationships at all levels.

Previous selling experience and technical acumen in one or more areas: Networking, SDN, NFV, Switching, Network Automation, Routing, Data Center, Edge Computing, Network Virtualization, Hyper‑converged infrastructure, or Cloud computing.

Compensation Information The new hire base pay for this role ranges from $125,000 to $160,000. The actual salary will depend on skills, qualifications, experience, and US location. Additional compensation may include discretionary bonuses, commissions, equity, and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, wellbeing, tax savings, and income protection. Specific details will be shared during the hiring process.
