Job purpose The Field Application Scientist is responsible for aiding in the sale of the Cellcyte Products by working as a team with the Regional Sales Manager.
Primary job duties and responsibilities include
Assist RSM's, when needed, in qualifying live cell imaging opportunities.
Executing onsite and virtual product demonstrations.
Participating in live cell imaging forecast calls when necessary.
Implement product training for sales team.
Working with Sales management to implement effective sales strategies for live cell imaging products.
Providing feedback on hardware and software improvements.
Travel up to 70% to assist with demonstrations, installations and trainings.
Covering western North America.
Qualifications Minimum qualifications required to successfully perform the job:
Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences or related discipline.
Five years of experience in live cell imaging or cell culture.
Knowledge of various relationship sales techniques.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships.
Flexible, creative, and able to work in a non-structured work environment.
Demonstrated capacity to think “outside the box”, communicate and motivate customers on the company's products, programs and new ideas.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Excellent oral/written communication skills, including well-developed presentation skills.
Excellent customer relationship skills.
Ability to work both independently and as a team player.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with quotas and goals.
Attention to details and time management skills.
Located in California.
Physical requirements While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit for prolonged periods of time, including as a driver or passenger in a car. The employee is frequently required to use computers and telephones. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; and carry demo microscopes and sales material. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include color vision, close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
