Neumann Gruppe USA, Inc. (NGUS)

is a holding company that provides shared support services to the three NKG import companies in the United States: Rothfos, InterAmerican Coffee and Atlas Coffee Importers. These shared services — which include Logistics, IT, Human Resources and Accounting — enhance both efficiency and communication.

Key Responsibilities Claims Management

Handle end-to-end processing of claims related to: Damaged, contaminated, or infested green coffee.

Weight or quantity discrepancies.

Delays or shipment loss.

Prepare and organize supporting documentation: Inspection reports, lab results, photos, Bills of lading, delivery receipts, and contracts.

Track and update the status of all claims using internal systems.

Investigation & Recovery

Perform root cause analysis in collaboration with logistics, procurement, and quality teams.

Determine liable parties (e.g., supplier, shipper, warehouse).

File insurance claims (e.g., marine or warehouse) and follow up to ensure timely settlement.

Negotiate recoveries including refunds, credits, or replacements from suppliers or carriers.

Reporting & Documentation

Maintain accurate records of all claims, settlements, and communications.

Provide regular reports to management on: Open/closed claims, Financial recoveries vs. losses, Emerging trends or risks.

Collaboration & Risk Mitigation

Liaise with cross‑functional departments including: Quality Assurance, Procurement, Finance, Legal, and Logistics.

Contribute to process improvements that reduce the frequency and impact of claims.

Support audit and compliance functions by ensuring documentation is complete and accurate.

Qualifications & Experience Education

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Logistics, or related field.

Experience

3–5 years of relevant experience in supply chain, import/export operations, or claims handling.

Experience in green coffee, agri‑commodities, or FMCG sectors preferred.

Familiarity with marine insurance, Incoterms, and international shipping documents.

Skills & Competencies

Analytical – Root cause analysis, data interpretation, trend identification

Communication – Strong written and verbal communication; negotiation and conflict resolution

Technical – Knowledge of trade terms, insurance policies, warehouse operations

Organization – Strong time and file management, multitasking under pressure

Systems Proficiency – Excel, ERP systems (e.g., Eximware), email and digital tracking tools

Preferred Certifications (Optional)

Coffee Quality Institute (CQI) or SCA Certification.

Incoterms Training.

Marine Insurance or Claims Certification.

Key Attributes
