The Role The Merchandising Coordinator is a foundational member of the Merchandising team, playing a key role in supporting the growth and success of our categories on Depop. Working closely with a Senior Category Manager, you’ll help bring category strategies to life – from curating inspiring shopping experiences to supporting data‑driven decision‑making. You’ll manage day‑to‑day merchandising operations and partner with teams across Marketing, Seller Success, Product and Insights to deliver work that connects with our users and drives category performance. This role is ideal for someone early in their merchandising career who’s hands‑on, organized, and excited by the intersection of creativity, data and community.
Salary: $68,000 – $85,000
Responsibilities
Merchandise category‑led experiences across Depop’s key surfaces (app, web, email and social), selecting and ordering items that best reflect category strategy, KPIs and target customer needs.
Curate high‑quality, user‑centric shopping experiences that embody Depop’s tone, values and community interests with a strong eye for detail and aesthetic consistency.
Partner closely with the Senior Category Manager to bring category strategies to life through thoughtful execution, ensuring all merchandising work aligns with broader business priorities.
Coordinate cross‑functional workflows with Marketing, Seller Success, Insights and Product teams to ensure projects launch smoothly and on schedule.
Complete reporting on category performance, gathering data, updating dashboards and sharing key takeaways with stakeholders to keep them informed of category behaviours and trends.
Support the implementation of category playbooks, leveraging tactics such as seller incentives, education and UX optimisations to drive engagement and sales.
Identify and share emerging trends and shopper styles through market research, data analysis and community engagement.
Ensure quality, accuracy and alignment across all merchandising touchpoints – QA’ing work, communicating progress at key milestones and contributing to an excellent customer experience.
About You
Experience in merchandising, category management, e‑commerce or a consumer‑facing online platform.
Data‑informed and curious – you can interpret insights to make sound decisions.
Detail‑oriented and organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and changing timelines.
A clear and collaborative communicator who keeps teammates informed and seeks feedback to learn and grow.
Comfortable working independently while knowing when to ask for guidance.
Passionate about second‑hand fashion, sustainability and Depop’s mission to make fashion more circular and community‑driven.
Adaptable and agile in a fast‑moving, creative environment.
