Senior DevOps Engineer (Staff level) Location: Washington DC (greater DMV area / Tristate area). Mostly remote with once a month in‑office presence. Only candidates in East Coast area who are within drivable distance to the location will be considered.

Position Overview Blue Yonder is seeking an experienced and motivated Staff DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic Product Development team. The Staff DevOps Engineer will be instrumental in deploying, managing, and optimizing the infrastructure and processes essential for the development and delivery of our leading supply chain solutions. This role functions at the intersection of software development and operations, ensuring efficient, secure, and scalable systems while leading initiatives to enhance our operational efficacy and automation capabilities.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with software development and architecture teams to deploy and manage infrastructural systems and applications.
Lead initiatives to automate and optimize operations and processes, reducing manual interventions and improving efficiency.
Develop, maintain, and enhance tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in development, testing, and production environments.
Mentor and support the growth of junior DevOps engineers.
Coordinate and guide release activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards and smooth deployment processes.
Produce detailed reports and metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
Partner with Performance Engineering and Documentation teams to enhance the installation and customer experiences.
Stay current with the latest industry trends in agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
At least 10+ years of experience in DevOps, software engineering, or related fields, with a demonstrable track record of success.
Proficiency with automation and orchestration tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, and Terraform.
Experience with scripting languages like Bash and Python.
Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.
Expertise in version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams.
Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
Passionate about continuous learning and improvement.

Salary The annual salary range for this position is USD $120,334.55 – $151,665.44. The salary range information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
