Chief of Staff to the Chief Investment Officer – General Account Join Equitable as the Chief of Staff to the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of the General Account. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting the strategic, operational, and financial initiatives of the Office of the CIO (OCIO). You will act as a key advisor and thought partner to the CIO, ensuring alignment across investment strategies, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

Support key reporting lines in the $120bn General Account asset portfolio, focusing on numerous investment metrics, entities, strategies, portfolios, and asset classes.

Generate presentations for executive management that provide insight and recommendations on complex investment topics.

Serve as a point of contact for key OCIO stakeholders, including Financial Planning & Analysis, Investor Relations, Investment Accounting, and Treasury.

Support Equitable’s ESG/Responsible Investment program, including implementation of ESG integration and impact investment initiatives, reporting, and disclosures.

Assist in drafting materials for Equitable’s investment committee and board of directors.

Coordinate strategic planning and execution of investment initiatives across the OCIO team.

Facilitate communication and alignment between the CIO and internal/external stakeholders.

Schedule Hybrid schedule of 2 to 3 days in-office per week.

Compensation and Benefits Base salary range: $100,000 – $170,000. Salary is based on skills, experience, and location. Equitable offers performance‑based pay opportunities, including base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short‑term incentive compensation. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience in an investment analyst role, financial planning & analysis for a large company, and/or financial reporting role collaborating with numerous stakeholders.

Established prioritization skills with a focus on results.

Demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines and thrive in a fast‑paced, project‑driven, team‑oriented environment.

Proven analytical and critical‑thinking skills.

Ability to develop and deliver presentations that synthesize complex problems and recommend solutions.

Background in finance, investments, and/or insurance.

Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Proven interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization, including senior management.

Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and professionalism in dealing with management.

Skills Business Acumen:

Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes needed for sound decisions.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking:

Ability to analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Effective Communications:

Ability to transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas and information through appropriate communication behaviors.

Financial Reporting:

Knowledge of financial reporting processes, methods, and tools.

Managing Expenses and Finances:

Knowledge of finance management principles and methodologies.

Process Management:

Knowledge of process improvement tools and techniques.
