Job Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of complex software systems and features for CareFusion's medical device and healthcare technology products.

Architect robust, scalable, and maintainable software solutions, ensuring alignment with overall product strategy and technical standards.

Collaborate closely with product management, UX/UI designers, quality assurance, and other engineering teams to define requirements, priorities, and project scope.

Conduct detailed code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines.

Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and innovation.

Identify and troubleshoot complex technical issues, performing root‑cause analysis and implementing effective solutions.

Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, tools, and methodologies, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and agile practices.

Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact and applicability to CareFusion's product offerings.

Contribute to the technical vision and roadmap, making informed recommendations for future architectural directions and technology choices.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, HIPAA) in all software development activities.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

8+ years of progressive experience in software development, with a significant portion in a senior or lead engineering role.

Proven expertise in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance, and secure software systems.

Strong proficiency in one or more object-oriented programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, or C++.

Extensive experience with various software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban).

Solid understanding of architectural patterns, data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is highly desirable.

Demonstrated ability to lead technical discussions, influence decisions, and drive consensus across multiple teams.

Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and propose effective solutions.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Experience working in a regulated industry, particularly healthcare or medical devices, is a significant plus.

Familiarity with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) and API design principles (RESTful).

Experience with automated testing frameworks and practices (unit, integration, end-to-end testing).
