Position Overview QinetiQ US is a leading defense and national security company delivering mission‑led innovation for the U.S. government’s most urgent challenges.

We are looking for a highly skilled professional specialized in support services to assist the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)). These services support OUSD(R&E), the Assistant Secretary of Defense (OASD) for Science & Technology (S&T), Mission Capabilities (MC), and Critical Technologies (CT), and the Deputy Secretary of Defense (DSD).

The Operations Manager (Streamline Business Process) will oversee and manage daily operations, focusing on improving overall performance and achieving strategic goals.

Responsibilities

Analyze existing operational workflows, identify areas for improvement, and recommend strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Develop and implement quality assurance programs, monitor product or service quality, and ensure adherence to established standards.

Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to enhance team effectiveness and engagement.

Contribute to the development and execution of long‑term operational strategies aligned with broader OUSD(R&E) goals.

Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance, analyze data, and generate reports for senior management.

Identify potential operational risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure business continuity.

Ensure operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.

Provide key organizational and knowledge management functions.

Analyze staffing needs and implement process changes to achieve timely completion of all tasks and assignments.

Analyze relevant programs and projects against established goals and objectives within the OUSD(R&E) organization.

Lead project, initiative, and major work‑effort planning and management.

Facilitate decision‑support documents for senior government clients.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a management or technical discipline (e.g., Science, Mathematics, or Engineering). Four (4) years of specialized experience, including military or industry experience, may substitute for specific educational requirements. Advanced program management education or certification is preferred.

Ten (10) years of experience as an Operations Manager.

Must have Top Secret with SCI eligibility clearance for all tasks and maintain eligibility for the life of the contract.

Demonstrated experience providing timely and high‑quality support to executive‑level principals in a complex, fast‑paced environment requiring critical thinking, initiative, problem solving, and professional judgment.
