Job Description The team at Presbyterian Espanola Hospital and its surrounding clinics seeks a BC/BE Psychiatrist who thrives in a small team environment with the support of an integrated and dynamic healthcare system.

Responsibilities

Maintain active or associate membership on PHS Medical Staff in good standing and comply with all PHS Medical Staff regulations.

Perform professional clinical duties as the psychiatrist of record for adult patients following accepted standards of professional psychiatric practice, including collaboration with nursing and ancillary staff, multidisciplinary treatment planning, and thorough documentation.

Collaborate with the Addiction team to manage behavioral health aspects of care.

Collaborate with the Hospitalist team on behavioral health medication management as needed.

Participate in PEH Behavioral Health Interprofessional Consultation (IPC).

Actively participate in initiatives to improve clinical and service quality as directed by program administration.

Serve in a leadership role in the care of own patients, directing treatment and educating staff with input from nursing and ancillary staff.

Perform additional duties as directed.

Qualifications

MD or DO

BC/BE in Psychiatry

Active New Mexico Medical License
