This is a full-time, on-site role for an Optometrist at our Asheville, NC location. The Optometrist will conduct comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose and manage visual and ocular health conditions, and prescribe corrective lenses or treatments as needed. Additional responsibilities include educating patients on eye care and preventive measures, collaborating with the team to ensure the highest level of care, and maintaining accurate patient records.
Qualifications
Proficiency in performing comprehensive eye examinations and diagnosing ocular diseases or conditions
Ability to prescribe appropriate corrective lenses and treatment plans
Strong communication skills to educate patients on eye care, eye health, and preventive practices
Commitment to maintaining detailed and accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school
Active optometry license in the state of North Carolina
Familiarity with state-of-the-art optometric equipment and technologies
Experience practicing in a patient-centered environment is a plus
