Responsibilities Under the general direction of a surgical nurse, perform fairly complex surgical technician duties utilizing specialized knowledge. Duties include verification of specialty equipment and inventory, contacting surgeons concerning equipment, coordinating with supply companies and vendors about malfunctioning or broken equipment, and providing continuing education in-service to staff.
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist institution or specialized program.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to obtain BART within six (6) months.
A minimum of one (1) year of Surgical Technician experience.
Proven knowledge of maintaining a therapeutic environment for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Demonstrated knowledge of surgical instrumentation used in various surgical procedures.
Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
Trauma experience preferred.
Two (2) years of Surgical Technician experience, preferably in an operating room handling a variety of complex surgical cases.
Endovascular experience highly desirable.
Special Conditions
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre‑employment physical.
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $79,991 - $99,451 (prorated if appointment percentage
