Role Summary

We are seeking a visionary and enterprise‑minded leader to shape the future of Vanguard’s critical and growing Cash and Savings strategy. This role will serve as the strategic architect for rate design and bank network optimization—ensuring our offerings are competitive, resilient, and aligned with our mission to be the most trusted destination for clients’ cash. As a senior leader, you will influence cross‑functional decision‑making, drive enterprise alignment, and lead a high‑impact team responsible for pricing strategy, bank partnerships, and governance. You will be instrumental in scaling our capabilities and delivering outcomes that extend the Vanguard Effect across the full client portfolio. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Vision

Define and champion the long‑term strategy for rate and bank network management across the Cash & Savings portfolio. Serve as a thought partner to senior leaders in Finance, Risk, Legal, and Vanguard Client Segments to align pricing and capacity decisions with enterprise goals. Lead strategic planning and transformation initiatives that position Vanguard as a market leader in cash solutions. Rate Strategy & Pricing Governance

Architect rate structures that drive client value, competitive differentiation, and financial sustainability. Explore new and innovative pricing strategies. Lead pricing forums and governance routines to ensure transparency, agility, and alignment across segments. Monitor macroeconomic trends, competitor movements, and client behaviors to inform strategic pivots and day‑to‑day pricing execution decisions. Bank Network Optimization

Oversee the design and evolution of Vanguard’s program bank network, including dual supplier resiliency, capacity planning, and onboarding strategy. Negotiate and manage strategic partnerships with banks, custodians, and network providers. Ensure operational excellence and risk‑smart execution across all bank‑related processes. Enterprise Influence & Enablement

Represent Cash & Savings in enterprise forums, steering committees, and strategic reviews. Collaborate with enablement teams to ensure scalable delivery, crew readiness, and client experience alignment. Drive cross‑functional integration with Advice & Wealth Management Segments, Workplace, Personal Investor, and Institutional teams. Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in financial services managing a strategic pricing function, ideally with direct accountability for setting deposit rates. Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree or PhD preferred. Proven track record of leading enterprise‑level initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders. Deep understanding of banking infrastructure, vendor management, and deposit products. Exceptional strategic thinking, communication, and leadership skills. Experience with governance frameworks, regulatory compliance, and financial forecasting. Special Factors
