Lead Software Engineer, Full Stack (Java, Spring, AWS) - Global Payment Network
At Capital One, the Lead Full Stack Software Engineer will drive a major transformation within the Payments organization by delivering cloud‑based, data‑driven solutions that meet regulatory and customer needs.
What You’ll Do
Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a high‑performing team of developers to create solutions that meet regulatory needs.
Stay on top of technology trends, experiment with new tools, and mentor the engineering community.
Collaborate with product managers to deliver robust, cloud‑based solutions that empower millions of Americans.
Utilize JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, Go, and container orchestration services such as Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS tools and services.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree.
At least 4 years of experience in software engineering (internship experience does not apply).
At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree.
7+ years of experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go.
3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service.
4+ years of experience open‑source frameworks.
1+ years of people‑management experience.
2+ years of experience in Agile practices.
Compensation Chicago, IL: $175,800 – $200,700. McLean, VA: $193,400 – $220,700. Riverwoods, IL: $175,800 – $200,700.
