About the Role
As a Physician, you will play a crucial role in delivering specialized psychiatric care to patients experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions. Your expertise and commitment to improving the mental well-being of our patients are essential to our mission.
Responsibilities
Provide physician leadership and psychiatric treatment to a Partial Hospitalization Program and Psychiatric clinic
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including mental status examinations and medical histories, to diagnose and develop individualized treatment plans.
Provide evidence-based psychiatric evaluation and medication management for patients with various mental health conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychosis, and substance use disorders.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychologists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure coordinated patient care.
Monitor and adjust treatment plans as needed to optimize patient outcomes, using a patient-centered and recovery-oriented approach.
Administer and manage psychotropic medications and therapies, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with hospital policies and legal regulations.
Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and treatment planning sessions to review patient progress and provide recommendations for care.
Educate and support patients and their families, promoting mental health awareness and providing resources for coping and self-management.
Stay informed about the latest advancements in psychiatric care through ongoing professional development and training.
Qualifications
DEA registration Required
Board certification in Psychiatry Required
Current Illinois medical license required or pending
