Optum Washington is hiring a
Hospitalist Physician
in Everett, WA to join our Inpatient Hospitalist team at Providence Regional Medical Center. The physician will provide comprehensive, evidence‑based care to a diverse, safety‑net 500‑bed community hospital with a robust multidisciplinary support staff.
Responsibilities
Work a hospitalist schedule of 14‑17 inpatient shifts per month with no more than 3 night shifts per year.
Manage 14‑18 patients per inpatient shift on a variable admission mix.
Collaborate with ICU, ER, subspecialists, palliative care, pharmacy, social work, respiratory and physical therapy, and internal medicine residency teaching.
Provide bedside patient care, documentation, discharge planning, and consult services as needed.
Engage with patients from a socio‑economically diverse community and care for families in their cultural context.
Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and site‑wide institute initiatives.
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine.
Current Washington State Medical License and DEA certificate or ability to obtain prior to hire.
Unrestricted state medical license or ability to obtain prior to hire.
EMR proficient (Epic EMR experience preferred).
Proven positive attitude, solid work ethic, and self‑starter independence.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Benefits & Compensation
Base salary range $260,000‑$387,000 plus cash bonus based on performance.
