Overview Humana’s Marketing organization is seeking an Associate Director, Product Marketing to lead the go-to-market, positioning, and member-focused campaigns for our Medicaid lines of business. You will craft the product value proposition, align messaging to state program objectives, and lead cross‑functional teams to deliver integrated, multi‑channel experiences that drive measurable outcomes for members and the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and own product marketing strategies and go‑to‑market plans for Medicaid products across states, including positioning, value propositions, and messaging frameworks.
Lead end‑to‑end campaign delivery (email, direct mail, SMS, app, web, call center/IVR) from creative concept through execution, measurement, and optimization.
Translate business goals into data‑driven content and personalization strategies; partner with data science to define Next Best Action (NBA), journey logic, timing, and channel orchestration at scale.
Stand up and/or lead agile pods/squads; mentor a high‑performing team of marketers and coordinate cross‑functional resources across product, analytics, channel owners, compliance, and operations.
Establish performance KPIs and dashboards; run structured experiments (A/B and multivariate) to improve conversion, engagement, and retention; synthesize insights to inform the roadmap.
Champion the voice of the customer, integrating qualitative feedback and behavioral signals to continuously improve member experiences and outcomes.
Partner closely with Government Business, Compliance, Legal, and State Plan teams to ensure all materials and tactics meet Medicaid and state requirements, including pre‑approval processes as applicable.
Collaborate with Market leadership on state RFP responses, product launches, benefit changes, and network updates to ensure timely, accurate member communications.
Create enablement assets for internal stakeholders (e.g., sales, provider relations, customer service) to ensure consistent product narratives and support member education.
Monitor competitive landscape and market trends across managed care programs; benchmark against industry best practices to inform strategy and differentiation.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
6+ years of B2C product marketing or lifecycle marketing experience, including multi‑channel campaign management and measurement.
2+ years of direct people leadership with a track record of building and mentoring high‑performing teams.
2+ years of proven abilities to translate insights from analytics and research into actionable strategies and experiments; strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
Hands‑on experience with modern marketing automation/journey platforms (e.g., Adobe Experience Platform, Adobe Journey Optimizer) and analytics tools.
Prior knowledge of an agile operating model and demonstrated success leading matrixed, cross‑functional teams to deliver business outcomes.
Experience in Medicaid managed care or government programs (MCOs), with working knowledge of state‑specific marketing rules and review/approval processes.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated success operating in an agile model and leading matrixed, cross‑functional teams to deliver business outcomes.
Experience with customer data platforms (CDPs), real‑time decisioning/NBA engines (e.g., Pega, Adobe), and experimentation frameworks.
Background in product marketing within health plans or vendors serving Medicaid contracts (e.g., managed care organizations, eligibility/contact center solutions, or PBM).
