Overview The Floating Clinical Director will directly support the Home Health regions with training for newly hired leaders as well as providing direct support until replacements are found for open VP, Administrator, or Branch Director positions within the Home Health business. While filling in for open administrator positions, the Floating Clinical Director will ensure quality and safe delivery of home health care services following appropriate policy, procedures, and processes that reflect the Agency’s philosophy and meets the standards of care. The Floating Clinical Director will actively train and support new Branch Directors, Administrators, and VPs as needed ensuring that the employee is prepared and ready to be successful when starting their new role with the company. The Floating Clinical Director may also be involved with or lead the development, rollout, and implementation of new projects or programs designed to support Home Health.

Responsibilities

Assists with the organization and direction of the Agency’s ongoing liaison among the Governing Body, Professional Advisory Committee, and staff

Assures accuracy for all billing procedures

Shares BrightSpring’s LEGACY philosophy and supports a positive culture at each location

Assists with HCHB workflow as needed for branch growth

Manages assigned HCHB workflow for assigned offices with open Director/Administrator positions

Provides coverage of HCHB workflow in absence of Directors for PTO and to increase nursing capacity by allowing Clinical Supervisors to be out in the field while workflow is maintained

Consistently follows Agency policies and procedures to set an example for employees and ensure compliance

Assesses employees on an ongoing basis to ascertain their understanding of policies and procedures, compliance, and qualifications to perform their jobs

Assists employees to support policies and achieve necessary changes in coordination with policies and procedures

Uniformly enforces policies and procedures to ensure agency compliance and success with surveys/audits

Maintains two-way communication with employees and fair administration of personnel policies

Documents employee problems in personnel files with the guidance support of HR

Disciplines employees as necessary with the guidance support of HR

Directs the Agency’s ongoing functions as required by the position

Monitors budget for regions being supported to ensure success

Ensures appropriate equipment is in place to maintain a functioning office

Evaluates effectiveness and efficiency of the Agency related cost/expenses and staffing models

Uses statistical data and metrics to determine quality and quantity of services

Sets performance improvement plans in place as needed

Maintains compliance with applicable federal, state, accrediting bodies, and local rules and regulations implementing Plan of Corrections and communicating to senior leadership as necessary

Supervises all business affairs for the business unit assigned to any time making suggestions for improvement to Leadership as necessary

Participates in personal professional growth and development

Plans and directs operations to ensure the provision of adequate, efficient, and appropriate care and services to the community

Establishes and maintains effective channels of communication with operations, leadership, and corporate as needed

Ensures Agency personnel have current clinical information and current practices in place that meet regulatory requirements for agency compliance and operations

Assists with staff development including orientation, in-service education, and continuing education

Coordinates with other program areas and management as appropriate

Maintains current knowledge of local trends and issues to be able to fully support operations and business development

Ensures that appropriate service policies are developed and implemented in coordination with compliance department

Assists with staff direction in performance of their duties including admissions, discharges, and the provision of appropriate service to patients

Additional Job Information Education:

Registered Nurse, bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience:

Has a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in health services administration, with at least 5 years of supervisory or administrative experience in home health care or a related health care program, per state specific and federal requirements

5 years of experience in leadership or business development, preferred

License/Certification:

Valid license from the state practicing in

Current CPR certification
