Position Overview Our client is seeking an experienced
Interim CIO
to lead technology strategy and transformation during a critical growth phase. This role will establish a cohesive technology vision, modernize platforms, and drive innovation across AI, usability, and security. The Interim CIO will be externally facing, partnering with stakeholders to enhance member-facing platforms and ensure seamless, secure experiences for tens of thousands of daily users.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a
unified technology strategy
that aligns internal and external platforms.
Define and execute an
AI strategy , including automation, data-driven insights, and advanced usability features.
Oversee modernization initiatives to improve
front-end UX
and platform usability for member-facing systems.
Collaborate with CTO and CISO to integrate security best practices without compromising agility and user experience.
Establish governance and frameworks for
cybersecurity ,
incident response , and compliance for highly sensitive data.
Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team on technology investments and innovation.
Prepare the organization for long-term scalability and future CIO leadership structure.
Technology Environment
Member-facing platform serving ~5,000 institutions
Salesforce and Microsoft ecosystem
Cyware for cybersecurity
Tens of thousands of daily active users
Highly sensitive incident and breach data
Must-Have Qualifications
Proven experience as a
CIO or VP of IT
in a technology-driven organization.
Strong background in
technology strategy and transformation .
Experience with
IT security
and compliance frameworks.
Deep understanding of
AI applications
and modern platform architectures.
Ability to lead change and drive adoption of new technologies across complex environments.
