Job: Warehouse Manager Location: 77086 Pay: $27 - $35/hr DOE Schedule: Mornings Shift Full Time, Temp to Hire! Great benefits while working with PrideStaff!! The Warehouse Manager will oversee all daily activities, ensuring customer service is excellent, all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met, and the team is motivated and efficient. Safety & Compliance Leadership Drive a strong Health & Safety Culture through active leadership, regular leadership walks , and robust deployment of safety observation processes.

Lead and drive the local H&S Warehouse Improvement plan, rapidly closing all compliance and process gaps.

Improve warehouse layout for both safety and productivity using 5S principles .

Ensure all warehouse equipment is maintained to the relevant legal and operational standards.

Verify that the team has completed and maintained all required safety training for their assigned tasks.

People & Culture Development Lead the team through daily motivation, clear communication (via shift briefings and town halls), and formal management.

Develop and deploy clear operating standards and hold the team accountable to maintain them.

Conduct regular one-on-one (1:1) sessions and formal performance reviews (every 6 months) to track objectives and support development.

Develop and execute a comprehensive training matrix and plan to improve cross-departmental flexibility and handle workload changes.

Operational Excellence & Strategy Develop and own the long-term strategy for the Houston warehouse, including recommending automation solutions to improve output or safety.

Ensure efficient labor planning and deployment , effectively managing absence and holiday planning.

Oversee all Goods In functions, including accurate booking, processing rejections, and managing collections.

Manage the efficient and accurate picking and dispatch of all orders (sales orders, works orders, etc.), ensuring zero overdue orders .

Maintain stock positioning for maximum productivity, including optimizing customer zone picking.

Ensure the facility maintains an On Time Delivery in Full (OTIF) rate of >95% .

Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in processes and procedures (Kaizen).

Conduct weekly, monthly, and annual PI reporting (Physical Inventory/Performance Indicator).

Candidate Requirements The ideal candidate must be a proven, hands-on leader capable of driving cultural transformation and uplifting standards. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Distribution Center / Warehousing Leadership, ideally within a specialized industrial sector.

Leadership & Culture: Demonstrable experience in transforming culture , improving business performance, and motivating a team to succeed.

Drive & Attitude: Must possess a strong desire to succeed , a "can-do" attitude, and the ability to work effectively to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Flexibility: Must be able to prioritize effectively, maintain focus, and demonstrate flexibility around working hours to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
