Key Responsibilities
Guide complex capital improvement programs.
Advance multimodal, safety, and accessibility‑focused projects.
Oversee critical divisions including streets and sidewalks, stormwater and streetlights, facilities, sewer, underground utilities (UUD), GIS, and land development services.
Provide technical leadership ensuring regulatory compliance and interdepartmental partnerships.
Deliver high‑quality public infrastructure that reflects the City’s values of equity, sustainability, and community well‑being.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from a four‑year college or university with major coursework in civil engineering.
Five (5) years professional civil engineering experience, of which at least two (2) years were at the management or supervisory level.
Experience in contract administration and working with citizen organizations desirable.
Valid California registration as a Civil Engineer.
Valid California driver’s license desirable.
