In this role, you will install, service, or repair heating and air conditioning systems in residences or commercial establishments. Instant A/C & Electric is a small Wesley Chapel-based HVAC and electrical service company looking for a Technician/Installer to work mainly in the Wesley Chapel/New Tampa and surrounding areas. You have past experience in an HVAC service technician role and hold an EPA certification. A team player who is comfortable working independently, you love the feeling of a job well done and take pride in completing customer jobs with efficiency. A positive attitude is a must! Responsibilities: Install/Replace HVAC equipment including, but not limited to: ductwork, attic and/or vertical splits (gas or heat pump), rooftop package units (gas or heat pump) Perform maintenance and repair on various HVAC systems Work on Residential and Commercial Equipment Maintain good working order of company vehicle Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle. Travel to job sites in the service area, and work with dispatch software to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to the customer Engage in conversation with the homeowner to uncover any concern or interests regarding their AC system which could lead to potential accessory sales or a new system replacement Understand company pricing program and generate appropriate customer invoices and other electronic paperwork at the job site and electronically process credit card payments Participate in company-provided, vendor, and manufacturer training opportunities on customer service and the latest industry technologies. Work with apprentices and entry-level installers to coach and mentor Qualifications: 4 years actual work experience with knowledge in refrigeration function and theory, the ability to diagnose and perform replacement of HVAC related components such as Air Conditioners & Heat Pumps, Furnaces & Air Handlers, Duct Work & Zone Systems, Thermostats, Air Filters/filtration Systems, Low and high voltage wiring Type II EPA Certification or Universal Excellent customer service and communication skills with a strong desire to exceed customer expectations Minimum Tool Requirements: Basic Hand Tools- wrenches, screwdriver/nut drives, sheet metal/duct tools, basic power tools and hammer. Minimum Testing Equipment usage: Refrigerant Gauges, Electrical Multi-Meter, and Micron Gauge Working knowledge of city/county codes Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time Ability to crawl in tight places and climb ladders; work in attics, garages, crawl spaces, and on roofs Be on an on call rotation to work occasionally after hours/weekends as needed Willing to learn new skills and adapt techniques to comply with company protocols Able to learn and utilize company scheduling and invoice software Good driving record and willingness to go through a drug and background check Types of HVAC equipment we work on: -Residential HVAC Systems -Light Commercial HVAC systems -Residential Ductless and Multi Zone Systems -Commercial Multi VRF Systems Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
