Charter Steel is a member of the Charter Manufacturing family of companies. Schedule maintenance and repairs of all operational equipment and machinery. Plan preventative maintenance and ensure safe operation of all equipment and machinery. Develop cost effective preventative and predictive maintenance strategies. Support the maintenance business goal to provide reliable equipment capable of meeting production demands. First Shift, Monday thru Friday. OT as needed with potential weekends and holidays. Charter Manufacturing is unable to sponsor for employment visas at this time. Operate the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to approve, process, and schedule work orders, PM’s and predictive maintenance tasks. Schedule and plan work based on equipment needs and available manpower working closely with Maintenance Supervisors and employees. Prepare jobs allocating necessary labor, parts, tools, permits, and documentation. Write clear and concise work procedures and maintain the maintenance reference materials. Work closely with production to provide equipment access based on availability. Support the inventory specialist in critical spares inventory including min/max quantities in CMMS. Track spare parts under repair at outside vendors. Identify and review repetitive equipment problems with maintenance engineering. Utilize failure analysis methods to search for root cause preventative measures. Work toward reducing equipment downtime by improving PM and Work Order practices. Follow Environmental, Quality and Safety Management System procedures and requirements. High School Diploma or GED. Three plus years’ related experience in a maintenance support position. Thorough knowledge of a specialized or technical field, such as mechanics, maintenance technology, or maintenance process including work orders, predictive maintenance, preventative maintenance and repairs. Proven ability to identify and understand electrical and mechanical equipment and components. Ability to create PMs based on manufacturing specifications and working knowledge of equipment. Proficient with basic features of Microsoft Office software products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint). Maintenance experience in a related industry. Experience with Oracle CMMS/EAM/MRO. Demonstrated project management skills and Gantt chart creation. Demonstrated ability to be proactive in problem solving and to lead the resolution of equipment problems. Proficient with advanced features of Microsoft Office software products (Excel, Project, Word and PowerPoint).
