Job Summary
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) is the frontline representative of the company, interacting directly with patients during routine healthcare visits and critical health-related decisions. This role is responsible for drawing high-quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring patient comfort, safety, confidentiality, and accuracy throughout the process. The PSR II demonstrates leadership behaviors, professionalism, and process excellence while maintaining compliance with all policies and procedures.
Assignments may include work in a doctor’s office, patient service center, or other locations based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Phlebotomy
Perform venipuncture, capillary, forensic, and clinical specimen collection safely and accurately
Provide excellent patient interaction by explaining procedures and creating an atmosphere of trust
Perform pediatric, geriatric, and adult blood draws confidently
Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient signature after venipuncture to confirm specimen labeling accuracy
Specimen Handling & Documentation
Label specimens in the patient’s presence following established procedures
Prepare specimens for laboratory testing
Maintain accurate records and required documentation
Operations & Compliance
Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of an area supervisor
Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment
Follow all company policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards
Promote a positive company image to patients, clients, coworkers, and the public

Scheduling & Flexibility Requirements
Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call shifts
Ability to travel and work at multiple locations with minimal notice
Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable)
Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Medical assistant or paramedic training (preferred)
Phlebotomy certification (preferred; required in CA, NV, and WA )
Work Experience Requirements
Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience , including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
Health & Compliance Requirements
