What you'll do:
Lead the development of enterprise-wide architectural strategies and frameworks.
Collaborate with various business units to ensure alignment between business and IT architecture.
Provide expert guidance on technology solutions and integration across platforms.
Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to enhance business performance.
Develop and maintain architectural models and blueprints.
Mentor and guide junior architects in best practices and methodologies.
Provide support for the efficient resolution of database related incidents, service requests and update service desk management systems accordingly.
Responsible for responding to support escalations which involve troubleshooting technical issues and resolving database performance/configuration issues
Collaborate with multiple internal teams across disparate groups to resolve support escalations
Create/Maintain documentation for database operational procedures and best practices as required
Provide after-hours and on-call support as needed.
Create and maintain databases and GoldenGate replication in a Local, Oracle Cloud and AWS environments.
Enforce adherence to database architectural standards/principles, guidelines, design standards, etc.
Work with Oracle to address the performance issues with the databases or problem analysis and see them through to resolution
Participate in the annual DR activities.
Carry out performance analysis, recommendations, and improvements within the database infrastructure
Support for OS patching and Database patching activities.

Experience you'll need to have:
8+ years of experience in enterprise database architecture , design and subsequent support activities with various Oracle versions.
4+ years of experience in large-scale IT system development, design, and implementation
4+ years of hands on experience on installing, configuring and managing Oracle Golden Gate two way/multi-master replication setup using Integrated Extract/Replicats.
4+ years of experience with Oracle databases on EXADATA machines.
4+ years of hands on experience designing, implementing and managing Golden Gate CDR.
4+ years of experience in solution design
4+ years of experience with various database technologies like Oracle, DB2, and SQL
4+ years of experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
4+ years of experience with Spring and microservices
8+ years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience
Experience that would be great to have:
Experience in the financial services industry
Experience managing Oracle RDS and Golden Gate replication in AWS.
Experience with OEM grid control for monitoring and alerting.
Experience with Oracle SQL profile, SQL plan management.
Experience identifying badly performing SQL statements and tuning them for performance improvements.
Experience implementing Application Continuity in Oracle 19C for HA requirements is preferred.
Good knowledge on OS related commands specific to Linux/IBM AIX.
Exposure with monitoring systems such as Splunk is preferred.
Familiarity with Oracle networking protocols and troubleshooting experience.
Excellent knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle, Service
Management tools, and Change Management tools.
Oracle Certification preferred.
Support for OS patching and Database patching activities.
1. Database Management:

o Design and implement scalable database architectures to support application requirements.
o Collaborate with application development teams to integrate databases with applications effectively.
3. Backup and Recovery:
o Establish and manage backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
o Conduct regular tests of backup recovery processes to verify effectiveness.
4. Security:
o Implement security measures to protect database systems from unauthorized access and threats.
o Audit and monitor database access and activities to ensure compliance with organizational policies.
5. Collaboration and Support:
o Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders regarding database usage and best practices.
o Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and contribute to data-driven solutions.
6. Documentation:
o Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and policies.
o Develop and update technical documentation to reflect changes in database environments.
