Veterinarian - Part Time (Saturday Only)

Pure Paws Veterinary Care of Clinton Hill in Brooklyn NY is seeking an experienced Veterinarian to join our 3-doctor team for a dedicated Saturday-only role. This position is ideal for a doctor with strong ER or urgent care experience who enjoys a fast pace and wants a consistent weekly schedule without weekday commitments. Candidates with Small Animal or Emergency internship training and 2+ years of post‑internship experience are strongly preferred.

Each Saturday, you will work in a supportive environment where you can expect to see 16 to 18 patients through 30‑minute appointments, along with 4 to 6 drop‑offs and walk‑ins. We treat dogs and cats and provide daytime urgent care. We do not offer overnights or after‑hours care at this location. Surgery is not required. This is a client‑facing role that calls for clear communication, sound judgment, and a calm presence.

What To Expect

• Salary: The base salary for this part‑time position (approximately 8 hours per week) is between $40,000 and $45,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, there is a pro‑sale incentive of 20%. There will be no negative accrual during the first 12 months, providing a stable foundation as you establish yourself. High performers can significantly exceed the base salary.

• Schedule: This part‑time position is designed for a doctor who wants a consistent shift working every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Operating Hours:
  • Monday–Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Friday–Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Sunday: Closed

Requirements

• A valid New York State Veterinary License (in good standing) prior to the start date
• DVM or VMD degree
• ER/urgent care experience
