Role Summary
The CFO will serve as a key strategic partner to the CEO, Board of Directors and executive leadership, providing vision, stewardship, and data‑driven insight to guide sustainable growth across a multi‑unit restaurant portfolio and real‑estate development pipeline. The role includes oversight of all financial management areas, capital strategy, risk, compliance and operational excellence.
Job Functions
Strategic & Financial Leadership
- Partner with CEO, Board and senior leadership on long‑term financial strategy, capital allocation and growth priorities.
- Lead enterprise financial planning, analysis and reporting.
- Drive M&A activity: due diligence, valuation, transaction structuring and integration.
- Oversee cash management, debt structures and banking relationships.
- Develop financing and capital allocation strategies for new restaurants and real‑estate projects.
- Manage external audits, shareholder relations, dividend distribution and LTIP programs.
Operational & Analytical Excellence
- Partner with operations to monitor and enhance unit profitability and margin initiatives.
- Deliver financial insights, KPIs and dashboards for data‑driven decision making.
- Implement scalable reporting, forecasting and close processes across entities.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and performance management.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Oversee accounting, audit and tax functions, ensuring GAAP and regulatory compliance.
- Strengthen internal controls and financial governance.
- Co‑manage insurance strategy and broker relationships.
- Support legal and risk teams on lease negotiation, claims and compliance oversight.
People & Culture
- Build, mentor and inspire a high‑performing finance, accounting and IT organization.
- Foster culture of transparency, continuous improvement and operational partnership.
- Serve as trusted advisor to CEO, President and Board.
Qualifications
- 15+ years progressive finance leadership, 5+ in senior executive or CFO role.
- Proven experience in multi‑unit restaurants, hospitality or retail; real‑estate development preferred.
- Ability to oversee multiple P&Ls, entity structures and growth portfolios.
- Deep understanding of restaurant economics, labor, and KPIs.
- Record in M&A, capital markets or financing initiatives.
- Hands‑on expertise in ERP, data‑warehouse and AI solutions.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- Bachelor’s in finance or accounting; CPA/MBA preferred.
