Duties: Manage a caseload encompassing all levels of complexity within workers' compensation defense Conduct depositions and represent clients at the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB) Communicate regularly with clients regarding case updates, strategies, and resolutions Develop case strategies aimed at achieving efficient and favorable outcomes Negotiate settlements on both cases-in-chief and related liens Draft a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, reports, and settlement agreements Oversee all phases of workers' compensation litigation from inception to resolution Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of experience handling workers' compensation matters preferred Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues Proficiency with technology-driven case management systems Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school Certifications: Active and good standing membership with the State Bar of California Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong negotiation and settlement capabilities Effective case strategy development and implementation Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities Client-focused with a commitment to providing high-quality service Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Job Location: Woodland Hills, CA
