We are seeking a full-time Psychiatrist for a contracted role within the Massachusetts Department of Corrections, with potential to become permanent.
Provide onsite psychiatric assessments, diagnosis, and treatment for inmates.
Supervise and train staff, approve treatment plans, and monitor their implementation.
Manage medication, offer individual/group therapy, and participate in treatment planning.
Handle admissions, discharges, and coordinate care for inmates needing behavioral health services.
Contribute to staff education, attend meetings, and ensure quality care in a respectful work environment.
Requirements include medical school graduation, psychiatric residency completion, licensure in Massachusetts, and a current DEA number.
Pay ranges from $225 to $278 per hour, with a schedule of at least 30 hours per week.
