Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager / Estimator for Division 0800 to lead our construction estimating and project management efforts. This pivotal role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on estimating, ensuring accurate cost projections, competitive pricing, and seamless project execution. General Manager / Estimator Responsibilities Lead the division’s overall operations, including assisting our estimator with project estimation, bidding, and execution strategies Prepare detailed construction estimates using industry-standard software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam, ensuring accuracy in cost control and pricing Develop comprehensive proposals by analyzing project plans, specifications, and site conditions Negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure favorable terms while maintaining strong relationships Oversee construction site activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively through robust project management practices Implement cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle to maximize profitability and efficiency
General Manager / Estimator Requirements Proven experience in construction estimating, with proficiency in HeavyBid, Bluebeam, and other estimating tools Strong background in construction management and site supervision across diverse projects Exceptional negotiation skills to secure contracts and manage vendor relationships In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, safety protocols, and project management methodologies Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining a focus on quality standards Familiarity with construction site operations and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications Excellent communication skills to coordinate with our installers, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
