Psychiatrist Needed – Partial Hospital Program with option for Outpatient Work –

Brown University Health has an opportunity for a board certified or eligible psychiatrist interested in joining our fully virtual Partial Hospital Program. This intensive, short-term treatment program helps adults who are facing mental health challenges and issues that impact their daily lives. This position will be based in Providence. Our Behavioral Health team is robust, consisting of every psychiatric sub-specialty and includes psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists and trainees.
About the position
The collaborative and dynamic team consists of 12 psychiatrists, 18 psychologists, 5 master’s level therapists, 2 post-doctoral fellows, and 1 psychology resident, with other rotating trainees
Full time
Work M-F, 8:00a-4:00p
Call 1 weekend every 8 weeks (inpatient psychiatry at RI Hospital)
Patients’ diagnoses include but are not limited to mood disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, substance use disorders and personality disorders
Outstanding administrative support
Treat 8-12 patients per day depending on overall census for an average census of 10 patients
Potential for clinical teaching and academic appointment to Brown University
Option to also work in an outpatient setting
J1 & H1-B visa friendly – please note, we are only considering candidates available in 2026
Requires medical license (or eligible) in RI and MA
The benefits
Base salary of $265,000 with RVU productivity with the ability to generate incentive compensation
EMR is EPIC
