U‑Haul is looking for skilled technicians to keep the newest fleet in top condition for our customers. Whether you have no experience or existing vehicle‑repair experience, join our team.
We have the largest fleet of trucks and trailers and add to our fleet each year. U‑Haul offers career growth through a Technician Training Program (Ford, GMC, U‑Haul), a paid hands‑on interview, a $100 hiring bonus, and more.
As a brake and tire technician, you will use proprietary technology to assess and care for field vehicles.
Primary Responsibilities
Secure trucks on lifts and ramps.
Perform tire and brake maintenance.
Mount, dismount, and balance tires.
Occasionally road test vehicles.
Work in a production line.
Use a proprietary electronic pre‑inspection checklist.
Assist in additional areas as directed by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
Basic mechanical aptitude and 1‑2 years of repair experience preferred.
Driver’s license.
Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
Basic computer skills.
Regular attendance.
Work Environment Manual labor; must work safely and remain alert. Protective clothing or gear (masks, safety shoes, goggles, gloves, face shields) may be required.
