Assistant Director of Nursing

at our Cedarhurst of Wichita community. As an

Assistant Director of Nursing , you will assist the Director of Nursing in leading clinical operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care in compliance with regulations and organizational goals. Key responsibilities include: Assisting in defining and maintaining nursing practice standards and acting in the Director's absence. Overseeing medication, treatments, and nursing services according to care plans. Developing and maintaining staff education programs. Participating in daily rounds and management team planning. Assessing residents' care needs and managing nursing staff. Supervising medication management and documentation. Overseeing pharmacy relations and ensuring timely medication delivery. Managing clinical department staff and participating in interdisciplinary meetings. Hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating staff. Engaging in occupancy and resident well-being initiatives. Understanding and respecting residents Advance Directives. Performing physical tasks as required, including lifting and moving residents. Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include: Graduation from an accredited nursing school and a current LPN or RN license, with 3+ years of nursing experience preferred. Memory Care experience required. Knowledge of person-centered care practices for seniors, including those with dementia. Current CPR certification. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Knowledge of senior care regulations and ability to oversee quality care delivery. Professional conduct and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work collaboratively and proactively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Record systems.
