Binghamton Eye Associates has partnered with iHire to reach top talent for this opening. We are searching for a full‑time or part‑time Optometrist to join our busy and growing practice. The ideal candidate should be flexible, a team player, willing to see children, and help out with daily work‑in appointments. You will use your clinical and interpersonal skills to provide high‑quality vision care and contact lens services to our patients.
The position is full or part‑time with an average patient load of 25 patients per day or more based on the doctor's preference. Patients range in age from 5 and up.
Regular Duties
Performing comprehensive eye exams
Diagnosing and assisting in the treatment of ocular diseases, including dry eye disease
Prescribing corrective lenses, both spectacles and contact lenses
Providing pre‑ and post‑op care to surgical patients
Handling eye‑care emergencies
Maintain detailed patient records regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress using EHR

We at Binghamton Eye Associates have been serving patients in Binghamton and surrounding areas for over 40 years. Our office features 10 exam lanes fully equipped with advanced technology such as Zeiss OCT, Humphrey Visual Field, and more. Our practice team consists of one ophthalmologist, one part‑time optometrist, technicians, and administrative support staff, some of whom have been with us for over 30 years. We are a small private practice that offers a unique opportunity to expand a Doctor of Optometry's knowledge and scope of practice by being part of our “hometown” team. Binghamton, NY is just an hour from both Scranton, PA and Syracuse, NY with country charm and modern sophistication. The area's public and parochial schools are nationally recognized for excellence.
