Site Manager - In-Plant/Special Project
to join their growing team in
Reno, NV .
Responsibilities
Daily on-site coordination of subcontractors: General Mechanical (MEP, rigging) and Keithly Electric (electrical, controls).
Lead weekly trade partner meetings and daily huddles; manage look-ahead schedules.
Monitor execution progress against schedule and flag issues to PM.
Use PROCORE to manage RFIs, daily logs, observations, and progress photos.
Act as field liaison with KDP operations team to coordinate access, logistics, and permitting.
Ensure safety practices are upheld; coordinate with Site Safety Manager.
MEP Site Manager studies specifications to plan procedures for construction and staffing.
Assist MEP Project Manager in locating and evaluating potential subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
Assist in developing scopes of work for review and approval of MEP Project Manager.
Assist in the development of MEP project schedule within the entire construction schedule.
Prepare estimates in areas of MEP self-performed work and assist in complete project estimate.
Assist in selection of qualified bidders and negotiate final prices.
Assist in the preparation of various reports, i.e. cost to complete, monthly billings and status reports.
Review all drawings (P&IDs, Mechanical, Electrical, Shop, Architectural, Structural, etc.) and coordinate and maintain a current set.
Assist in pricing work, draft changes and change orders.
Assist in ensuring customer satisfaction with the project.
Coordinate and manage on-site construction activities from pre-start-up to completion.
Schedule work, including subcontractors.
Assist in the productivity and quantity tracking of subcontractors installed work.
Determine materials, equipment and tools needed.
Secure appropriate supply sources.
Set up and close out construction site.
Serve as on-site Safety Officer when one is not specifically assigned to the project and participate in the company’s safety portion of the QMS program.
Responsible for procurement of tools and materials to be delivered on specified times.
Confere with and direct supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures.
Consult with supervisory personnel to resolve complaints and grievances.
Prepare or review reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjust work schedules.
Establish and maintain high safety and quality standards in accordance with company and industry standards.
Ensure the company QMS program is used and maintained.
Responsible for the communication, implementation and enforcement of Gray’s safety program on site.
OSHA 30 preferred, but not required.
Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or minimum five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years in industrial or process-related construction projects.
Familiarity with MEP scopes, rigging, structural platforms, and equipment installation.
Experience working in active plant environments (food/beverage preferred).
Familiarity with Procore or similar project management software.
Experience managing self-perform or trade partner labor.
Must be based in or willing to commute to Sumner, WA.
Daily on-site coordination of subcontractors (listed above).
Proficient in creating and reviewing detailed project reports.
Strong safety compliance and knowledge of OSHA requirements.
