Summary of Primary Purpose Combined role. This position is responsible for providing leadership and oversight of the children’s ministry, ensuring all events and curriculum support the vision, mission and belief, and doctrine of the church. Ensure safety, security, compliance, volunteer coordination, training, and certification. Assist with outreach to help coordinate, plan, implement and manage community events with young families.

Essential Roles & Responsibilities

Assist and support with the planning and administration of conferences.

Create graphic design slides for announcements, promo pieces for events, conferences, and social media platforms.

Coordinate with Director of Worship and Administration to ensure graphics, slides, and announcements are in sync for Sunday mornings, NS Weekly, and all online platforms.

Children’s Ministry

Oversee and support children and families during weekend services and events.

Identify, recruit, train and deploy volunteers to serve in all aspects of Harvest Kids (i.e., check in, teaching, assisting, etc.).

Identify an assistant HK director who can be trained in the event of your absence.

Ensure volunteers are up to date on background checks.

Ensure all compliance items and investigations are documented and reported as required, including proper authorities.

Ensure volunteers follow proper protocols for ministry to children.

Schedule volunteers to serve each Sunday to ensure Harvest Kids is adequately staffed.

Provide ongoing training, encouragement, and support to all volunteers.

Identify and order curriculum.

Follow up with new families and coordinate with office administration to ensure follow up is tracked in PCO.

Outreach

Work alongside the Campus Pastor to identify, plan and execute outreach events targeted at reaching young families.

Assist the Campus Pastor in executing a marketing and advertising plan.

Recruit and train volunteers and build relationships with community partners including other churches to foster partnerships and increase impact.

Promote outreach events and activities through various channels, including church communication, website, social media platforms, and flyers.

Monitor and evaluate outreach programs to measure impact and make necessary adjustments.

Skills / Knowledge Required

Maintain high integrity and confidentiality with all relationships.

Strong communication skills (written, oral, listening, and interpersonal).

Enthusiastic self-starter with staff, volunteers, children, and families.

Ability to defuse situations and mediate conflicts.

Organizational skills.

Knowledge in project management and attention to details.

Strong problem‑solving capabilities and accountable for decisions.

Build effective relationships and share knowledge with teams and communicate in all directions for the overall benefit to help the church.

Ability to multi‑task and prioritize.

Proficiency in technology and social media, some marketing knowledge.

Ability to identify, recruit and train others to grow and carry out the mission.

Build and lead a volunteer team, ensuring to foster community, development, and appreciation.

Team player and contributor to overall vision, goals, and ministries of the church.

Intermediate knowledge of computers and programs: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or Google Suite.

Weekly meet with Campus Pastor and attend staff meetings.

Ability to work non‑traditional hours to support the needs of the church.

Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in ministry, youth, child development, or related field.

Preferred Experience 3 years of ministry experience. Experience with VBS, AWANA, etc., is preferred.

Salary Range Information $26,585.00 - $33,228.00
