Machine Learning Engineer (Secret clearance or above required)
This role is part of a Series D funded AI software firm in the defense space. Responsibilities include building machine learning and language‑learning models, utilizing nascent AI frameworks, running DevOps deployments with Kubernetes/Docker, and designing & delivering AI solutions to enhance and ship applications into production. Candidates should be well‑versed in Python and have experience with Docker/Kubernetes, ML training models, LLMs, and agentic + generative AI frameworks & patterns. Base Pay Range
$170,000 / yr – $220,000 / yr Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field Active Secret clearance or above (TS or TS/SCI preferred) Proficient with Python and Python data stack (PyTorch, NumPy, Matplotlib, etc.) Experience with agentic AI patterns and frameworks Experience building ML training models and algorithms Background with generative AI, including transformers and/or LLM project work Experience with deployment and containerization using Docker and/or Kubernetes Great to Have
Master’s or PhD in a related field Experience fine‑tuning and deploying LLMs Experience with data engineering and big‑data technologies such as Spark, Airflow, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar Experience with frameworks such as LangChain, Hugging Face, GPT, or similar Experience with cloud solutions Programming experience with Java, Haskell, Go, Scala, Rust, or similar languages Background with microservice architecture Benefits
