Director of Accounting and Finance – ARI‑HETRA. This role reports to the President and CEO and is a strategic partner in financial and operational decision‑making.
About the Company ARI‑HETRA has been a leader in heavy‑duty transportation maintenance equipment for over 35 years. The company designs and manufactures dependable, durable, and environmentally safe products such as Mobile Column Lifting Systems, Exhaust Extraction Systems, and Wheel Service Equipment. Safety, reliability, and comprehensive service support are core priorities.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead the monthly close process, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash‑flow forecasting; ensure regulatory compliance and support strategic decision‑making.
Manage a team of two accounting leaders and five customer service representatives; build performance through clear expectations, metrics, mentoring, and cross‑training.
Drive a culture of high energy, customer focus, and continuous improvement in the Ohio office.
Provide strategic financial leadership across budgeting, forecasting, accounting, cash‑flow management, financial controls, data analytics, capital structure, banking, investment analysis, M&A, cost management, pricing strategy, credit risk, inventory, compliance, insurance, and key supplier relationships.
Oversee order entry and customer service, technology integration, HR functions (hiring, payroll, commissions, benefits, 401(k)).
Ideal Candidate Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
10+ years of accounting and finance experience, including leadership roles.
Professional certifications (CPA, CMA) preferred.
Strong knowledge of GAAP.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, filters, sorts).
Experience with ERP upgrades and process streamlining.
Experience managing HR and IT functions.
