Description of Services:
The client requires the services of 2 Applications Architect 3, who meets the general qualifications of an Applications Architect 3 in Applications/Software Development. All work products are considered "works made for hire." Candidates must pass background checks as required by Texas law.
Level Description:
8+ years of experience; uses experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Independently performs a variety of complicated tasks and may lead work of others.
Expects a wide degree of creativity and latitude.
Job Description:
Application architects design, develop, and implement applications for computer systems, directing the development process from conception to completion and overseeing technical staff.
Key Qualifications:
10+ years of hands‑on Java EE experience.
Ability to design enterprise‑level applications meeting performance/scalability needs.
Expertise in microservices architecture and distributed systems.
Practical experience with the 12‑Factor App methodology for SaaS.
Proficiency in Domain‑Driven Design (DDD).
Knowledge of design patterns.
Role Responsibilities:
Lead architecture and design of cloud‑native applications, ensuring alignment with objectives and standards.
Develop applications while implementing best practices for scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
Minimum Requirements:
8 years of experience with Java EE, Spring Boot, and microservices frameworks.
Hands‑on experience with AWS or Google Cloud and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Proficiency in API design and integration (REST, GraphQL).
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and IaC (Terraform, Ansible).
Knowledge of security best practices for cloud‑native apps.
Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
Experience with event‑driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
Exposure to serverless computing and cloud‑native services.
Experience with DDD for complex business domains.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
Experience with performance tuning and high‑availability strategies.
Understanding of cost optimization in cloud.
Healthcare industry experience.
Understanding of Information Management principles and SDLC.
Consulting and facilitation skills.
Customer‑focused communication across all levels.
Self‑starter leadership style; strong attention to detail.
Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect.
Experience in Texas or state eligibility systems.
