Role Overview Google is hiring a
UX Researcher III
to support the
Platforms & Devices Android Ecosystem
team. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on
qualitative and quantitative UX research
that directly informs
product strategy, design decisions, and business outcomes . The researcher will independently lead moderately complex research initiatives and partner closely with product, design, engineering, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end UX research using qualitative and quantitative methods
Translate research findings into clear, actionable insights influencing product strategy
Synthesize user, product, and business needs into research-driven recommendations
Define and apply key research metrics to measure product and ecosystem impact
Conduct research that builds deep user empathy and identifies business opportunities
Evolve research strategies for large or complex research programs
Communicate insights through UX storytelling, presentations, and documentation
Collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders toward user‑centric decisions
Advocate for ethical, inclusive, and accessible research practices
Required Qualifications
Strong experience in UX research across the product development lifecycle
Proficiency in qualitative and/or quantitative research methodologies
Deep understanding of human behavior and interactive technology
Ability to independently manage research projects with minimal oversight
Strong stakeholder communication and influence skills
Experience translating research into product and design impact
