Position Summary We are seeking a
Senior Tax Manager
to lead client engagements, deepen relationships, and actively support the growth of our New Jersey practice. This is a
leadership‑track position
for a technically strong tax professional who enjoys complex tax work, business development, and mentoring a team—and who wants to help build something bigger than themselves. The role offers a
direct path to Partner
within a platform that rewards initiative, collaboration, and long‑term contribution.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership:
Manage and review complex business, partnership, and individual tax engagements, ensuring compliance and high‑quality deliverables.
Advise proactively:
Deliver strategic tax planning and structuring guidance to closely held businesses, partnerships, and high‑net‑worth clients.
Develop new business:
Identify and pursue opportunities with existing and prospective clients; network within the local community and industry groups to expand the firm’s visibility and client base.
Strengthen relationships:
Serve as a trusted advisor, building deep, long‑term client relationships grounded in expertise, responsiveness, and results.
Lead and mentor:
Supervise, train, and develop managers, seniors, and staff, promoting technical excellence and leadership readiness.
Collaborate strategically:
Partner with firm leadership to execute regional growth plans, expand service offerings, and enhance profitability.
Innovate and improve:
Help drive process efficiencies, technology adoption, and best practices across the practice.
Engage nationally:
Work with colleagues across the firm’s broader network to share expertise, support multi‑location clients, and contribute to firm‑wide initiatives.
Support advisory initiatives:
Assist clients with transactions, entity restructuring, and multi‑state compliance as advisory services continue to grow.
Qualifications
Active CPA license
required.
8–12 years
of progressive public accounting experience with deep expertise in taxation.
Proven track record in
client relationship management and new business development .
Strong technical proficiency in
federal and state tax law , including multi‑state exposure.
Excellent
leadership, communication, and project management
skills.
