This Senior Leadership role is focused on strategic development and operational oversight of Anatomic Pathology across multiple sites. You will drive adoption of advanced technologies (e.g., Digital Pathology, AI), ensures high-quality diagnostic services, and manages budgets aligned with organizational goals. Collaboration with pathology leadership and administration is critical to support IU Health’s pillars of research, education, and improved patient care.
Key Relationships Reports to: Vice President, System Laboratory Services.
Candidate Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
10+ years of relevant experience.
Must demonstrate transformational leadership and experience managing multiple complex projects across a large system.
Expected to lead through respect, humility, and intellectual curiosity while driving system-wide transformation.
Collaborative leader, focused on building best-in-class teams and fostering accountability and empowerment within regional operations.
Experience designing organizational structures to achieve business and operational results.
Knowledge of the industry issues demonstrated experience and results such as 2nd Curve (transition from volume-based economics), accountable care and insurance/population risk models.
Knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local regulatory agency guidelines and laws.
