Join Quandela, a leading quantum computing company, as a Senior Research Program Lead. In this role, you will drive strategic research programs across photonics, electronics, algorithms, and software, translating scientific breakthroughs into product-ready solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead program governance, ensuring objectives, timelines, and budgets are met.
Establish KPIs, milestones, risk assessments, and mitigation plans.
Coordinate reporting, documentation, and communication with stakeholders and internal leadership.
Develop and oversee detailed project plans, resource allocation, and critical path analyses.
Support compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements (export control, IP, security for U.S. defense-related research).
Facilitate interdisciplinary R&D efforts and define technical roadmaps with research leads and scientists.
Recruit, onboard, and mentor a high‑performing R&D team and foster a culture of scientific excellence and accountability.
Build strategic collaborations with universities, national laboratories, and industrial partners, representing Quandela at conferences and consortium meetings.
Qualifications
PhD in physics, quantum technologies, photonics, engineering, or a related field.
7–10+ years of experience leading complex R&D programs, preferably in defense, aerospace, or advanced technology sectors.
Strong understanding of quantum information science and/or integrated photonics.
Proficiency with project management methodologies (PMI, Agile/Hybrid) and structured execution.
Experience with U.S. government‑funded projects, including reporting and compliance.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
