Location: Vallejo, CA
Job Summary Under direct supervision of the Anesthesiologist and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), sets up, troubleshoots, and provides general maintenance on all anesthesia equipment.
Essential Responsibilities
Maintain and service all electronic and mechanical anesthesia equipment on a daily basis.
Assemble pediatric and adult ventilator circuits.
Prepare procedural equipment (CVP, arterial line, Swan‑Ganz, routine IV lines).
Operate, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance on operating room equipment (Drager/Narkomed machines, HP Monitors, pulse oximeters, rapid infusion/transfusion systems).
Identify malfunctioning equipment, troubleshoot problems, and refer serious issues to technical repair personnel.
Assist in preventive maintenance and calibration schedules for monitors (BP, Datascope, Propac, Nellcor pulse oximeters).
Support patients for regional anesthesia procedures and assist with arterial or internal jugular catheter insertion.
Apply and operate monitoring devices (Datex, pulse oximeter, CO₂, BP cuffs).
Dispose of used supplies, restock carts, and maintain inventory in the anesthesia workroom.
Order and stock non‑scheduled drugs from the pharmacy.
Clean and decontaminate equipment per Sterile Processing Department protocols and CDC guidelines.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
