Position Summary We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Ultrasound Technician (FGP), Brooklyn. In this role, the successful candidate will perform diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment in various modes to locate, evaluate, and record pertinent anatomical, pathological, and functional data. The candidate will operate ultrasound equipment to create high‑quality images, conduct studies in required modalities, and provide training and guidance to Ultrasound Technology students.

Job Responsibilities

Provide patient comfort and arrange equipment for procedures. Prepare equipment and supplies according to established departmental procedures.

Interact with patients by identifying self to patient and verifying patient identity via ID bracelet or verbal acknowledgement. Explain the procedure and equipment to the patient clearly. Ensure patient privacy at all times.

Maintain ultrasound equipment in proper functioning order, clean and sterilize it after each patient in accordance with policies. Perform preventative maintenance to ensure efficient operation.

Perform ultrasound examinations and ensure the transducer is capturing images correctly.

Evaluate image quality and interpret captured data.

Present images and preliminary findings to physicians and the healthcare team.

Maintain patient records and add medical notes related to the ultrasound procedure.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Certificate from an approved ultrasound/vascular technology education program.

Registered or registry eligible to take the Registry exam (ARDMS) within 1 year of hire.

Five years of ultrasound experience.

Required Licenses Am Rgtry Diagn Med Sonographer

Benefits & Compensation Salary range: $109,710.00 - $121,730.40 annually. Actual salary depends on experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. Compensation does not include bonuses or other incentives.
