Pay Range: $32.00 - $46.44 per hour

Summary The Manager, Supply Chain Operations is responsible for managing the materials management process in the off-site warehouse of Rush University Medical Center. Responsibilities include management of warehouse staff and coordination of warehouse inventories and supply distribution. The Manager works closely with Rush’s supply chain management team, including the purchasing department, receiving area, and inventory control managers. The individual who holds this position exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
Required Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
Three years of progressively increasing experience within areas of supply chain management.
Two years supervisory experience.
Demonstrated ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Ability to handle multi‑tasks simultaneously.
Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to handle multiple responsibilities, prioritize daily activities, meet strict deadlines, problem solve, make independent decisions, and work well with all levels of the team.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Job Qualifications
Experience with the Lawson ERP system (including the Mobile Supply Chain module).
Three years of progressively increasing experience within areas of supply chain management in a healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
Oversees the day‑to‑day operations of the off‑site warehouse to ensure accurate receiving and distribution of supplies to serve the needs of customers (inclusive of all shifts).
Utilizes the Lawson Enterprise Resource Planning system including the Mobile Supply Chain Module to automate and improve the efficiency and accuracy of business processes.
Responsible for management of warehouse supervisors, stock clerks, and drivers. Effectively recruits, trains, evaluates, motivates, delegates, and monitors staff activities.
Ensures the timely and accurate delivery of supplies to the receiving dock.
Responsible for maintaining an accurate picking and packing process of all order types.
Reviews, analyzes, and recommends changes and enhancements to programs, processes, and policies to increase efficiency and effectiveness of all interfacing systems; implements approved recommendations and ensures compliance with all associated policies, standing operational procedures, and regulations.
Promotes teamwork by working together with supervisors and peers. Provides support to work group. Accepts constructive criticism and suggestions as is demonstrated by appropriate follow through.
Ensures that employees are oriented to the department and hospital policies and procedures. Allocates time for education related meetings and plans and conducts in‑service educational programs as needed. Develops department‑specific operating manuals; updates as necessary.
Ensures adequate amount of supplies related to emergency preparedness and provides reporting as requested.
Maintains a clean and organized warehouse.
