Job Title: Data Scientist (GenAI + Python)
Location: Hartford, CT (hybrid)
Duration: Full Time
Minimum Experience: 3+ years in Data Science
Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist with deep expertise in Generative AI and Python to design, develop, and deploy advanced AI models that drive innovation and deliver impactful solutions. This role involves working on cutting‑edge projects, leveraging large language models (LLMs), multimodal AI, and generative techniques to solve complex business problems.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and evaluate LLM‑powered solutions such as summarization, classification, extraction and conversational assistants
Design prompt strategies, RAG architectures, and fine‑tuning/adapter approaches where appropriate
Apply NLP and ML methods: text classification, topic modeling, semantic search, embeddings, clustering, regression/causal inference as needed
Develop Python‑based prototypes and evaluation frameworks for LLM and GenAI use cases
Advanced use of object‑oriented programming and functional programming patterns for ML workflows
Key Qualifications:
3+ years’ experience in Data Science/ML with demonstrable GenAI/LLM project experience
Strong Python skills (pandas, numpy, scikit‑learn; plus LangChain/LLamaIndex OR direct SDKs like OpenAI/Vertex AI/Hugging Face)
Hands‑on with embeddings, vector search, RAG, prompt design, and LLM evaluation
Solid grounding in statistics & experimentation: hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, power analysis, A/B testing design
Seniority level: Mid‑Senior level
