Overview Intuit, the global financial technology platform that makes TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, is looking for an innovative and strategic public affairs professional to join our Global Corporate Affairs and Public Policy (GCAPP) team with a specific focus on our Consumer Group and tech platform policy priorities and advocacy. Candidates should have experience in building and executing end‑to‑end public affairs campaigns, managing partnerships with aligned external policy and advocacy organizations, and collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to drive policy outcomes on behalf of Intuit’s customers. This position will serve as part of the GCAPP team, reporting to the Director of Global Public Affairs and working directly with colleagues on our Legal, Compliance and Policy, Consumer Platform, and Platform teams. This is a hybrid role with on‑site expectations of 3 days per week in our Washington, DC office.
Responsibilities
Partner closely across Intuit’s GCAPP team and business units to manage federal/state/local public affairs strategies, including strategic alliances, third‑party outreach, and amplification of the company’s messaging to shape legislative, legal, and regulatory debates that advance customer‑focused policy priorities—particularly around tax administration, tax preparation, consumer financial services, and AI.
Work closely with Public Affairs Creative and Digital Strategist to manage public affairs consultants and creative agencies to produce written and creative content driving towards positive policy outcomes.
Manage third‑party outreach with government relations partners through trade associations and coalitions to create a policy environment that helps our financial services customers thrive.
Lead customer and policymaker education programs such as the Intuit “More with AI Tour” to advance awareness of AI policy, promote its responsible use, and equip small‑business customers.
Drive end‑to‑end federal/state/local public affairs processes, support strategy development and resource planning, track activities, and lead weekly working‑team meetings related to the Consumer Group and Platform Policy portfolio.
Plan and execute virtual and in‑person events to showcase Intuit’s public affairs platform with senior policymakers and policy experts, highlighting our public‑policy positions and commitment to powering prosperity worldwide.
Qualifications
Minimum 5‑10 years of experience in political campaigns, government work, or public affairs/public relations at a major corporation, agency or trade association.
Experience working on political campaigns or in capitals—US or international—is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Strong project and program management skills with focus on organization and attention to detail.
Experience building third‑party relationships and managing campaigns.
Event management experience with creative experiential learning.
Track record of success leading multiple assignments.
Ability to distill key messages and present them compellingly; proficiency in design, digital content production, and digital ad buying is preferred.
Operates and makes an impact across organizational boundaries and at the industry & policy level.
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, effectively analyzing opportunities and threats, and prioritizing focus.>

Compensation and Benefits Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with performance‑based rewards, including cash bonus, equity, and benefits. The expected base pay range for this position in Washington, DC is $156,500–$212,000.
