Senior Software Engineer (C# & Angular) | Elite Hedge Fund | Boston
An elite, multi‑billion dollar hedge fund in Boston is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to build out new trading systems, risk, and compliance systems. This is a prestigious investment institution that has sustained exceptionally consistent returns over the past few decades. The engineering team is expanding to support the growth of new systematic strategies that have been highly successful. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with investment teams at a lean firm, build next‑generation systems, applications, and integrations that enable the expansion of new strategies, and learn about fundamental and systematic investment processes across multiple asset classes.
You’ll work directly with trading teams, researchers, and quant developers to design scalable applications and tools for new trading systems, risk, and compliance systems. The team is highly collaborative, customer‑focused, and deeply embedded within the investment process. This is a hands‑on engineering role with a strong emphasis on high‑quality, clean, maintainable, and modular code, and enabling high‑velocity research.
Base pay range:
$150,000.00/yr – $250,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Design and build robust, scalable applications, custom features, and integrations across trading, risk, and compliance systems
Improve architecture, performance, and reliability of existing platforms
Skills
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Math, or related field
7+ years of professional experience using C#/.NET to design and build complex software
Experience with .NET Core and modern versions of .NET/C#
Nice to have
Full stack experience designing/building or migrating front‑ends to Angular
Experience building tools or software for investment/trading/quantitative research teams
